Kyle and I met in the Fall of 2005 at Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, KS. Kyle had just transfered to JCCC to play baseball and I was a freshman starting out my college career as a member of the Golden Girls dance team. Through mutual friends, Kyle and I met at one of the infamous "JCCC Baseball Parties." This however, was not the start of a fairy tale love. Neither of us can remember exactly when we met, but after hanging out enough we came to know each other as "McBride" and "Byler."

It wasn't until Halloween of 2006 until any "crush-like" feelings arose. Kyle claims it was that Halloween when he decided he wanted to make me his girlfriend. Maybe it was because I was dressed up like a cute little ladybug. So romantic, huh? Still hanging out with mutual friends, Kyle began to call me more and more and finally in January of 2007, I gave in and let "Byler" take me out on a date. That date turned into many more dates. After officially freaking everyone out by changing our Facebook statuses to "Married" to one another as a joke, Kyle and I officially began our relationship on February 22, 2007.
